The Bolivarian Sport Organization, Organización Deportiva Bolivariana (ODEBO), invited Coach Mauricio Garzon, PhD, Adrenaline Solutions’ Director of Sport Science & Vice-President Latin America, to speak at its sports development seminar-workshop last June 20-22, 2022.
Coach Mauricio gave a talk on the talent development of both athletes and coaches. As a Master Coach Developer and a high performance consultant, it’s a subject he is specifically qualified to address.
ODEBO is the sports organization responsible for the Bolivarian Games. The ODEBO was founded on August 16, 1938 by the Olympic committees of Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru and Venezuela. The first Bolivarian Games were held in the same year. The Games is named in honor of Simon Bolivar, a beloved independence leader in several South American countries. He is known colloquially as El Libertador, or the Liberator of America. Chile joined the organization in 2011.
The sports development seminar-workshop occurred before the 2022 Bolivarian Games, which was held from June 24 to July 5, 2022. Both were held in Valledupar, an important agro-industrial center in Colombia.
