Bicol University (BU) invited Adrenaline Solutions Co-Founder, Coach Noli Ayo, as facilitator in its recent Women’s Month 2022 Webinar, which features the experiences of women in sport. The Webinars were held last March 18 and 25 on the BU Facebook page.
The webinars are part of Bicol University’s Women’s Month commemorations. It is led by its Institute of Physical Education, Sports, and Recreation in partnership with the BU Center for Gender and Development (BUCGAD), BU Extension Management Division (BUEMD), and Adrenaline Solutions.
Entitled TGIF “Thank GAD It’s Friday” – an online Discovery Lab, the webinars share timely stories and insights from women in sports. The online event invited women from the Philippines, El Salvador, and the United Kingdom to come and speak. Last March 18, the first speaker, Janet Belarmino-Forney, shared her experience of climbing Everest while Kathleen Rodriguez took over the afternoon session to share about her life in football. On the next week, March 25, Adriana Escobar was the speaker in the morning session and gave her thoughts about finding the value of leadership in sports. Lastly, Debbie Spink finished the event by giving her insights into creating a community through sport in the afternoon session.
The webinar hopes to share these women’s stories to inspire positive change among its audience. As Coach Noli said, “It is the people in sports that change the world.”
