Last April 29, two new sports consultants visited the Adrenaline Solutions’ (AS) team monthly gathering, AS Friday. Adrian O’Connor from the United Kingdom and Tania Lee Xu Yar, MS, RDN, CSSD from Malaysia, came to share their insights and experiences while having a great time with the team members.
Adrian is a Sports Psychologist at the University of Roehampton. He was the first ever to deliver a lecture on the Foundation Degree in Sports Coaching, which eventually led to creating the university’s BA Sports Coaching degree. He firmly believes in ‘better relationships equals better results’ and loves a working environment where good relationships can flourish.
Tania is a former competitive swimmer turned certified sports dietitian. She co-founded the Sports Nutrition Academy in Malaysia and was instrumental in establishing Malaysia’s first sports nutrition online learning platform. She’s also the Vice President of the Malaysian Olympism in Action Community (MOiAS). Her passion is to help individuals and athletes improve their health and performance through nutrition while spreading awareness about Olympic education and swimming.
The two sports consultants mingled with the AS team and shared their stories with the rest of the sports agency. In particular, they related the experiences during the lockdowns to the changes in an athlete’s physical and mental health– a relevant topic worldwide.
AS Fridays are one of the crucial ways AS creates connections among its team. It is always anticipated by its participants, who consider it a great way to relax and meet new people.
