This October 20-22, sports leaders, coaches, and athletes from across the Philippines will be coming to Puerto Princesa for the national summit of the Online Sports Leadership Program (OSLP).
The national summit will feature workshops and discussions on promoting the Philippine sports movement. Coaches and sports leaders from around the world will also drop by as speakers and facilitators.
The Palawan-based event is organized by the Philippine Olympians Association, Adrenaline Solutions, the Mindanao Peace Games, and the host, Palawan State University.
The OSLP is an organized online learning experience for sports leaders and coaches. Its goal is to promote Philippines sports culture and shape it with the Olympic values of Excellence, Respect and Friendship. Every online gathering features speakers from the many Olympians who made Filipino history. The event is the brainchild of Coach Noli Ayo, the convenor of the Mindanao Peace Games and co-founder of Adrenaline Solutions, and Akiko Thomson-Guevara OLY, President of the Philippine Olympians Association. It has proved popular and is in its eighth batch.
To spread the ideals of the online event beyond the circle of Filiipino sports leaders, excerpts from the talks have been transformed into podcasts. Called the Online Sports Leadership Program: A Podcast or OSLP Podcast, episodes are published every two weeks on Spotify, Apple Podcast, Google Podcast, and Anchor.
The event is sponsored by the Philippine Sports Commission, the World Olympians Association, Pilipinas Super League, and Pilipinas Obstacle Sports Federation. Contributions also came from PBA Party-list, MVP Sports Foundation, Discovery Leisure Company, and One Meralco Foundation.
