Situation
Too many islands, too few coaches. The development of the sport of Muay Thai was hampered by the lack of elite coaches in the Philippines. Only one city, Baguio, could train fighters for international competitions.

Task
The Muay Thai Association of the Philippines (MAP) needed to raise the standard of coaching all over the country. They wanted to develop their Coach Development Framework (CDF) and Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) program to bring as many coaches up to standard quickly.

Results
As the frameworks of MAP’s coaching programs take shape, more Muay Thai coaches are receiving better training. As they further spread, the quality of the sport will rise around the country.
